Our story
Built because the mark-up made no sense
Echols Engagement began with one frustrating afternoon. Our founder, Bradley Echols, spent a decade sourcing stones for other people's storefronts and watched the same diamond change hands three times before it reached a couple — each hand taking its cut.
So he removed the hands. We buy certified lab-grown stones directly, hold almost no retail inventory, and set our margin once. The saving does not go into marble floors. It goes into carat weight.
What has not changed is the part that should feel expensive: the advice. Every couple works with a gemmologist who will happily talk you out of a stone that is wrong for you.

What we stand on
Four commitments we will not trade away
One margin, stated plainly
We price the stone, the setting and the metal separately, then add our margin once. You can see exactly what you are paying for.
A person, not a portal
Every commission is handled by one gemmologist from first call to final polish. You keep their direct line afterwards.
Carat without compromise
Ideal and Excellent cuts, D–G colour, VS2 and above. Larger stones only mean more diamond, never lower standards.
Made to be worn forever
Hand-set in our atelier, inspected under 10x magnification, and cared for free of charge for as long as you own it.
Press release
Atlanta jeweler puts carat weight ahead of overhead
For immediate release · Atlanta, Georgia
ATLANTA, GA — Echols Engagement, a founder-led fine jewelry house based in Atlanta, Georgia, today reaffirmed the operating model it was built on: a deliberately low-overhead studio that channels savings into larger, better-graded lab-grown diamonds rather than retail theatre.
Traditional engagement ring retail carries the cost of mall leases, standing inventory and layered distribution — costs a couple ultimately pays for in the price of their stone. Echols Engagement operates from a private appointment-only atelier in Atlanta, holds almost no speculative inventory, and sources certified lab-grown centre stones directly for each commission. One margin is applied, once, and it is stated plainly.
“Low overhead is not the same thing as low quality,” said Bradley Echols, founder. “We spend nothing on marble floors and everything on the stone, the setting and the person who talks you through both. Our clients routinely wear four and five carat centre stones on budgets that would buy a single carat across a mall counter.”
Quality standards are unchanged by the pricing model. Every centre stone is independently graded by IGI or GIA, held to D–G colour, VS2 clarity or better, and Ideal or Excellent cut. Rings are hand-set in-house, inspected under 10x magnification, and photographed and filmed under daylight and studio light before shipping — footage the client reviews on a call. Each ring ships with its grading report, an insurance appraisal, insured delivery, a 30-day return window and a lifetime manufacturing warranty that includes complimentary prong checks, cleaning, polishing and rhodium replating.
Every commission is handled end to end by a single gemmologist, and clients keep that direct line long after the proposal. Custom work begins with free CAD renders and unlimited revisions before a prong is cut, with heirloom stone resetting welcomed.
Echols Engagement serves couples nationwide from Atlanta, with private in-person appointments available locally and video consultations everywhere else.
